What is luminous temperature?

Luminous temperature is the most important characteristic of light sources in illuminating engineering. It defines the lamp chrominance and the color key (warm, neutral or cold) of the space lighted up by these sources. It is almost equal to the temperature of the heated body, that is of the same color with the given light source. Luminous temperature is measured in Kelvin degrees (K).

In applied lighting engineering it is appropriate to associate the luminous temperature of different types of candlelight sources with natural sources of light.

To provide comprehensible classification of white lamps chrominance it is customary to divide all the sources into three groups: warm white, neutral white and cold white, or daylight.

Light emitting diodes (LED) in architectural and landscape lighting design

Light emitting diodes are the best variant for the evening and nightly illumination of the buildings, constructions and other territories with       different functions that will organically blend with any landscape and emphasize the most unordinary ideas of the architect. LED can be applied both for the background illumination and for the bright accentual lighting of the buildings, squares, streets and tunnels, architectural compositions, fountains and other objects. Tremendous durability, longevity and high economy of LED make it possible to use it successfully for the illumination of the cities and private landownership. One more indubitable advantage of LED illuminators is its capability of being used with a wide variety of transformers and drivers with direct or alternating voltage.

LED-illuminators as a new energy-saving source of lighting and their advantages.

Light diodes are extremely new sources of light that provoke great interest in the whole world. They step-by-step force out such traditional light devices as incandescent lamps with the tungsten filament as well as sodium, mercury and halogen lamps.

Architectural illumination modern city

Modern city image is made up of numerous elements but when the night comes many of them disappear in the twilight. Elegant architecture of the old houses and modern buildings design are lost in the darkness, mixed up and distorted in the light of the street lamps and the head lamps of the cars. The image of a city, quarter, street or building is usually developed by the architectures and designers (at least we want to believe in it) and appears in the day light with it gorgeousness or ugliness, however the night hides it all.
